Towerhouse Wood,
with veteran trees and
a mysterious pond
which is always producing gas bubbles.
Netcott’s Meadow,
close to Backwell Lake, and which is well known for its orchids
is managed by Avon Wildlife Trust.
Stockway North Nature Reserve is in the centre of Nailsea,
behind
the Garden of Rest.
- its plants and dragonflies!
We have already
found a Blackbird
nest with 2 eggs,
and the Blue Tits
have nested in the box near the gate.
Several boxes
have been used by Great Tits.
We have now added Tawny Owl, Woodpecker
and Tree Creeper nesting boxes.

The site is open at 2 pm on the first Saturday in each
month and it is also open
at other
times. These are given on the website for the
Reserve (click below).
We have been able
to clear
much of the rubbish and we have
now planted many trees and
a new hedge
with
help from volunteers, both young and old -

Early Purple Orchids
